On the newer Honda's, where's the "manual rev lever" that you use to rev the engine while under the hood? I can't find it anywhere on my 07 Civic (R18).

Do you mean DBW (drive by wire) or just throttle by wire? I'm not familiar with TBW.

Throttle by wire. Same thing. Never could figure out why some people call it DBW. It would have been closer to to call it GPBW. (Gas pedal by wire) tongue2

HAHA, good point. I guess because it's not just the gas that's wired. Some cars even have braking by wire, like some Mercedes, right? (with hydraulic backup of course)

Yea there's no way to blip the throttle while under the hood with the electronic gas pedal.

Probably to keep the acronym simple, and because aircraft often use the term "fly-by-wire".

Yeah but Aircraft actually DO fly by the wire. All we are doing in most of these vehicles (like my 05 Corolla and new 2011 vehicle) is controlling the computer to tell the throttle to work. I guess in the 2011 it also does more since it has VSC. Get it out of "control" (or where it thinks "control" is) and numb is the rule. Guess for some folks its a good thing. Take care, Bill
