Oils aint Oils

For those who think that better quality oils dont make a difference then here is a real world example..

i know a fair few people who own wrx's and they have complained of the gears crunching... i think the oil that is in the gearbox is a non-synthtic castrol... well everyone who complains of this crunch (including myself) and then has changed to REDLINE syntheic gear oil (which costs around $130 AUD to fill up our gearbox), the cruch has miraculasly gone!

i know this relates to gearboxes and is a whole different thing.... i'll let you decide.

I lot of miata owners find the same thing by switching to redline. I never had the cruntch but I did go with the redline at 30,000 based on redlines reputation. Don't think there is anything better for manual transmission and rear end. Of course my TR3 uses non-detergent 30 weight and is smooth as silk also but different generation.
