Oil that comes in clear plastic bottles

I can hardly imagine a material designed for the harsh life inside an engine being hurt much by a little sunlight.
When QS first came out with the clear bottle many, many years ago they had a problem, not with the oil, but with the bottle. The concept of a clear bottle was very appealing for large parts chains and they would make large displays in their front windows to draw attention from the street. Well, over a period of time, the clear bottles setting in the large windows for the direct sunlight to shine on, turned the clear plastic to a creamy colored plastic. They had to change the kind of plastic they were using so the bottles would not discolor.
I've never heard of heat or sunlight hurting oil itself, but it can play havoc with certain kinds of plastic.

I am going now to the fridge for a Sam Adams Winter brew. You sold me....
Interestingly, I noticed how watery 5w30 syn QS and the SupeTech syn looked in the clear pastic jug. Just an interesting reaction to the "marketing" aspect of this thread. Maybe they are all this way and you do not notice in the non-clear jugs.
And yes - the Ultra jug is flimsy - especially the handle.

I got a couple of the QS in clear bottles. I saved the empties and use them for MMO to add to the fuel tank. Real easy to see how much you put in.
