Oil recommendations for 422k miles?

I'd give a High Mileage oil a shot....most manufacturers have them.

PS: Are you on your original A/T? Those Odessey's didn't have the best transmissions....

That's a future classic right there. Just wait.

I know most of you are telling me to fix the gaskets and seal. I don't know much about seal but I can tell you it leaking from more than one gaskets. The reason I wanted to try liqul moly motor oil saver is because I heard a good results about them while I was doing a research on Google and on this site also before I posted my thread. I might fix the gaskets one by one depending on the issues I'm having now. I haven't drove this car for one year so I have to change the oil before I crank it up.

The transmission is on 2nd or 3rd time replaced by the Honda dealership after this it never been replaced. 👍

I'm going to buy Shell Formula oil from Home Depot today if that's the conventional oil. Don't want to used synthetic oil at this mileage.

Does Maxlife oil come in conventional oil? Don't beat me if I'm wrong because I alway thought Maxlife is only available in synthetic oil.

Most of us are telling you to run Maxlife, an oil with seal conditioners in it. It is not full synthetic, it costs $15 for a 5 quart jug at Walmart. It's an all red bottle. Trust us man, it's the best chance you've got via oil change to stop a tiny drip. You also might want to run around the oil pan and make sure the bolts are not backing out anywhere. Don't tighten them down hard though, either use a torque wrench or a limp wrist.

I had oil pan work done by Goodyear mechanics shop and those technican didn't do good job and I complain about it [censored] work they did. They didn't care about me and took my money for nothing. I be happy if you can give me those torque spec for oil pan bolt. I have torque spec wrench.

422,000 miles and you are asking this board what oil to use. We should be bowing and saying MASTER we are not worthy,

Hahaha just wanted some advice that's all and that's what this site is about anyway. Everyone is free to ask anything they want.

I just went to the Walmart and saw 15w40 Maxlife heavy duty stuff for $15.00 1 gallon (3.78 quarts). I need 4.5 quarts so I have to buy separate quart of bottle which is $7.00. Hasn't bought it yet going to soon. That's almost the price of the synthetic oil but not complaining it must be good stuff.

9-10 ft lbs. Also, just put a half quart of whatever else you have to fill in the missing oil.

In my experience that stuff makes no difference. Don't mess with too much at once.

I'd advise you to give Maxlife a try.
It is obviously not too cost-effective to sink potentially large numbers of dollars or DIY labor hours into a vehicle that has exceeded its design life by a factor of two.
Maxlife does work in reducing oil leaks in my experience.
I'm giving Mobil 1 High Mileage a try in my somewhat leaky old BMW, so we'll see if it does as well as or better than Maxlife did.
Defy hasn't been worth a darn, but leak reduction is not a part of its advertised agenda.
