Greetings "Oil-ers"!

I'd appreciate it if anyone can recommend 'my friend' an engine oil for 'his' 2007 Mazda 6.

Previously, he has used Redline's 5w-20 in the summer, as well as Castrol Syntec, and most recently this past winter, some really cheap-o Formula1 stuff.

He does however, do autox's 2-3 times a month, for the duration of summer (May-September)

Habits/specs: (Driven in Toronto)
- 2007 Mazda 6 V6 @40,000kms (a handful of kms over 10,000/year)
- Factory calls for 5w-20
- 80% city, 20% highway
- Always driven conservatively (70% mother, 30% him)
- Slushbox, and shifts before 3-4000rpms

He's looking for a more 'performance' (so a premium is okay) for summer due to autox's, and a regular oil for fall/winter.
- Autocrosses are generally in 2nd gear, from middle of rev range, to redline of 6500.

Would like to try Schaeffer's 5w-20 for the summer, and Castrol Syntec in 5w-20 as well for the remainder of changes.

Comments, critique, and advice is greatly appreciated!

The Factory MC is great, I'm on a bunch of 6 forums and stick with 0/5w-20 or a thinner 0w30 and it'll still last forever. So along this line anything Full Synthetic will be great, I'd be more apt to change the transmission fluid to something fully synthetic. He should have the 6 speed auto and it takes a toyota fluid so find a Full Synthetic that's compatible and voila.
