Okay, I think that is right, but....on my '95 E150 I've noticed that the "indicator" will move as I drive. My "gauge" has the word N-O-R-M-A-L spelled out in between the low and high marks. Sometimes it reads on the "A" at 70 mph, and sometimes it is on the "A" idling at a stop sign. Most of the time it is on the "M". Once in awhile it drops to the "R".quote:
This actually is not a gauge, but a two way indicator. If pressure is above a certain threshold, the needle goes to the mid zone of the "gauge." If little or no pressure, the needle goes to low side. There is no in between. A real gauge should vary with increase in RPM from idle up to the mid RPM range area.
My next filter will be a K&N...for no other reason than to see if it has any affect on the movement of that darn gauge, er ah, indicator thingamajig.
