I was just reading last weeks Click and Clack talk cars about oil jelling in a 1997 Camry that blew a piston. It said "Toyota has had a publicized problem with oil jelling in the engine in recent years" I don't know how the engine could be blamed. Wouldn't that be an oil problem? Like a poor additive package or poor filtration. The oil was changed every 5,000 miles the owner says. The dealer claims an oil change place must have run the engine without oil. Someone that knows about this lets talk about it.
