It's always had Bel-Ray Synthetic motorcycle oil in it, the weight I'm not sure of at the moment. It had it's 1st service at 1600 miles, which was last November '08. It now has 3800 miles and I plan to do an OCI this Fall.

It's a 249cc air and oil cooled V-twin with upper and lower fairings. It doesn't get a lot of air flow at red lights unless the wind is blowing. Was thinking of running it without the lower fairing but I seem to like it best with them both on.

Any advice on what oils would be best to use, and at what OCI? I ride it about 4k miles a year here in East Tennessee, USA.

Why not stick with that??

If not, one of the HDEO's always seems to work pretty well.

Bel-ray is probably quite a decent cycle oil.

Can you please break down HDEO for me? Heavy duty something oil, I'd say, offhand. Thanks.
