Good day! What's the best engine oil for my '88 Mazda B2600 4WD CabPlus pickup truck?

1. oil change - usually every 5months or 3000km, whichever comes first.
2. living in a tropical country.
3. easy driving most of the time. sometimes spirited driving.
4. rarely travels on long trips. mostly stop & go.
5. 24-year old truck. general overhaul august 2000. ODO @ 115K miles. M/T tranny.
6. mods: weber carburetor. MSD ignition. carter. headers / full exhaust. bigger tires [31x10.5 R15 now. stock is LT215/75/R15].
7. a/c always on.
8. currently using mobil1 semi-synthetic 10w-40.
9. looking for a better brand. semi-synthetic or fully synthetic.

[anyone already tried repsol / idemitsu?]

thanks!

IF you were in the states, i would say to use motorcraft oil & filter, (Ford OEM brand), as over here, the Mazda trucks were pretty much re-branded ford rangers. (apparently that was just a N.America thing according to wikipedia)

You are already using Mobil1 on a short OCI in a warm climate.
Why do you think you might need a better oil?

I would think a Brand name Dino would sure your needs just fine.
