Oil for a 6.6l gas Chevy 2500HD

Read through the comments of greasing the front end.

Wanted to mention the easiest/best option for greasing the idler is by far to grab a Moog extension p/n K6714

It's also offered by a couple other companies but its the same part.

Removes the factory zerk and relocates it down to the swaybar bracket.

Just ensure you pre-fill the line with grease before final installation.
 
Here is an inner tie rod end. The factory originals were fed grease from a grease nipple on the steering link.

Good post. By the way, the older 3/4 ton Chev’s say 2008, have 11 fittings. They had two more, which are two inner tie rod ends. Eleven.... that’s one more than 10.
( from Spinal Tap).
Here is a shot of one of my inner tie rod ends from a 2008 3/4 ton Chev. Notice the zerk fitting. I guess they went to a sealed tie rod end some time after 2008.
