I have an imported HiAce Turbo Diesel that I need to get the oil changed on and looking for some recommendations. Here is what the manual called for at that time:

My thought was set for either Castrol Edge 0W-40 or 5W-40, or Rotella T6 5W-40 however I haven't been able to find that locally or online lately.

Is Castrol Edge rated for diesel? IIRC, it is not.
If I were you, I just buy any good diesel rated oil (rating start with C) and you should be fine.
Good diesel oil: Shell Rotella, Mobil Delvac, Chevron Delo, etc.

Did you check WM? Here in north side of Dallas, we have all those.
If not, the regular american diesel oil in 15w-40 is mostly available in WM like Delvac 1300S (syn blend).
The Euro Edge is a little bit tricky.

Thousands of those things on the road here in NZ, any HDEO 15W-40 is perfect. Forget about the oil (you can see they even recommend CD) but look after the cooling system. They crack heads, so you don't want to overheat them. Stay on top of the cooling system and it'll run forever.

In New Mexico , just run whatever 15W40 you can find, if you want to spring for synthetic, there's T6, Mobil Delvac Extreme, and now Chevron has a full synthetic 15W40 Delo.
