I'm almost embarrassed to say this, but since this is an "oil" forum and not a "coolant" forum, I will. On my '08 CR-V in my signature, I have never changed the coolant. Since I got the car in 2011 with 50,000 miles on the odometer, it has gone 14 years and 275,000 miles. Whether it was ever changed before me, I don't know. I check the level once a week or every other week when checking oil but that's it. I have never even had to add coolant. I like the car a lot but if it dies tomorrow, I'm not going to shed a tear which probably is a major contributor to my apathy. What really worries me though when wrenching on an old car is a drain plug breaking off or a hose connection cracking and then having to replace a radiator. I'm at the stage, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
