Oil foaming in JD 425

Been using Delo 5w40 synthetic, ran the engine and drained the oil immediately, noticed a pretty significant amount of foaming.
What should I be using?

Foam on top of the oil? I think that's normal........ so its not "in" the oil.

How long did you run the engine? If not to operating temperature, then the foaming can happen.

I'd guess that the sump was overfilled.

Probably a combination of factors. I ran it, but probably not long enough. It was pretty full, but I don't think it was overfull, but could be. So I'm gonna say it's a fluke as all looks fine and she runs like a top.
