Cool study, thanks for posting it.

Looks like I'm pretty happy with my Fram Extended Guards on the Caprice.
 
I've seen it before but just noticed that the Pure One had worse filtering than a Classic.

A tear or two perhaps?

And the same result in the air filter study as well.

The filters were disassembled, and NOTHING was said about a tear in the P1 media, so it's your imagination.
 
So what other explanation is there for poorer filtering performance from a Pure One than a Classic?

Does it throw his entire testing accuracy in doubt? Or is that my imagination as well?

Extended guard... Old. This is WAY before latest Purolator issues. Ohh and I have a Purolator Synthetic filter on my car now. These are very rock solid, good filters. I've said it before that I believe they are very good. So I am running one. Put up or shut up
