Ok .cummins isx has a clogging issue with their oil filter.(one oil filter is likely not enough.was thinking about this and a decade back there was this weird thing basicly it was a centrifuge for oil about 8 inch diam .my question !would this be a good idea to prefilter or twin filter the oil .since this was intended for 60000 mile duration 25000 with the new sooth and other polutent oil level should be viable right?

I've never had an ISX but I believe I have heard of oil filter problems. I thought it was the early years of EGR with heavy soot loading (?)

Any extra filtration would help but in terms of centrifugal types I know of Spinner II brand. When I got out of high school I did a lot of oil changes on 1980's Macks with the centrifugal filters aiding the factory spin on type.

It was amazing how much soot was caked on the outer walls of the centrifuge. If soot loading is the problem with the ISX then I'd say try a Spinner II or an equivalent of it.

I would think on a bigger vehicle it would be easy to double up the FF filter set-up and get what you seek. Either plumb in a "tee" and run a second FF, or get an adaptor for the main mount and run a twin-set somewhere elsewhere in the engine bay.

Last question
Since the variable geometry turbo on those isx is powered by the second air tank (pete 387 2006)this truck spec for 100 to 120 release valve (max air pressure)but the one there are 105 - 130 .does it affect the module controlling the variable geometry turbo (having 10 psi too much)would this mess up the fable timing issue a lot of people had with those engine )(sooth and all issue)ty for help

Found the problem :https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=tP_GU52yKpHMsQSC84CICg&url=http://www.cumminsfiltration.com/pdfs/product_lit/americas_brochures/PD10012.pdf&cd=1&ved=0CBwQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNFt_j363PmJlVEpyv_TlNzhsrg51w

The first link is the newer filter fleetguard issued as replacement to the lf9000https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=cwDHU52XLOjfsATiiYGwAw&url=http://www.cumminsfiltration.com/pdfs/product_lit/americas_brochures/PD10010.pdf&cd=1&ved=0CBwQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNE7ucf7LCQaDWiXd4xz_zwCyIdTpw

This link is the filter model replacing the lf9001
It is the one on my pete 387

As you can see the difference is huge.
My truck book (in cab)say to use the lf9000 (todays lf9070)
I am using the lf9080 (back then it was the lf9001)

Lf9070 can do 36 gpm (and is around 2.25 inch longer)
The lf9080 can do 27 gpm

Problem found. Got to love number game
