I got 51K mi out of the OEM Michelin tires on my '07 Grand Marquis & 54K out of the ones on my '98(yup orig, just repl about a month ago)... Tires on the '98 still had another good 6-8K mi but I wanted to replace them before winter set in, the '07s were more or less worn out...
I spent $441 out the door for the Firestone Champion HR that are on the '07, while the '98 has used Goodyear Eagle LS with approx 3-5K mi... I saved those from another car I resold, installed them myself, cost zip(actually I made a couple hundred when I sold that car with older tires I already had on hand)...
