OCI question for you European guys

Here in the US we obsess about our motor oil and change it often because it is dirt cheap compared to your prices.

What I want to know is how often do you change your HDEO in your diesel vehicles?

It you would, please tell us the kind of vehicle you have, the oil you use, its price, how often you change it and where you live.

vw Touran 1.9 TDI. Castrol SLX professional long life III 5W-30. (Only sold at dealer)
19$ Quart. Long life service indicator. About 15000 miles at last OCI. (added 0.5 quart during 15000 miles)
The average income in Norway is about 67000$ a year. We pay about 30% in tax.
But then we have free healt care, free education

I know I live in the US. But, my BMW X5, calls for Mobil1 0w-40 the manual says 15,000 OCI with this oil. at $8 a qt. I can't let it go that long so every 7,500 mi to 8,000 mi OCI.

Hmmm I guess if I lived in Norway, at $19/qt, I would try to get all the mileage out of the oil... I would probably at least change the filter and top off at 7500.
