My grandfather's horse was named "Geiger" for the radiation burns it had from the above ground testing in Nevada.
I was exposed to fall-out from an above ground test when I was two years old. The wind was blowing the opposite direction they "thought" and send the radiation cloud over town.
Awesome to see, but boy did they do some stupid things back then.
