There are current ASTM, modified ASTM, and other industry tests that are being developed by the industry for the new J3200 standard.

Its a systems engineering issue, and an interfaces issue. What’s the need when creepage, clearance, dielectric standoff, common mode, etc. wasn’t sufficiently bad due to lower voltages, lower power levels, power electronics running at narrower ranges of design…

Now we want higher voltages to get more power and various other advantages, and more physics come into play…
 
What do you think of/know about Dexron 212B ATF? :unsure:

It's a special EV-specific ATF that GM says not to use in regular automatics
It has a viscosity of 5.95 cSt @ 100°C, and is mainly composed of base oils and a VII.

No indication of S-P contents (as of yet) which might affect copper components.
 
I figure this has to happen eventually. Everyone goes on about maintenance free but Tesla used to recommend changing the differential fluid every 50k miles, but they seem to have done away with that interval. That's something I would care about keeping serviced.
