I'am assuming that Nissan P/S fluid is DexronIII ATF judging by the way that the owners manual is written. It states to use Genuine Nissan PSF or equivalent. *8
*8 For Canada, Nissan ATF, DexronIII/Mercon, or equivalent ATF may also be used.

This is for an 04 Altima. Any recomemdations would be appriciated. I'am concidering Mobil 1 Syn ATF since I just purshed several bottles for the auto trans....TIA

Dexron 3 would work absolutely fine in this application. If you can find it in your area, Pentosin makes a fluid called "CHF11S", which is what I'm running in my 94 Nissan truck. I was recommended this fluid by several Nissan techs I know that say it runs quieter than the Dex3 will, and should last longer.

I've been running Redline PS in my '97 Max for 70k miles no problem. Course, I'm prone to suck out the reservoir and refill every 25k or so (overkill, but I'll do 4 vehicles at a time and it only takes 5 minutes or less each).

Thanks guys.

I'll probably use Mobil 1 Syn ATF DexIII/Merc because it is available at AZ & PB in my area, and at 4.99 Qt, not a bad price.

I'm using Mobil 1 ATF in my '02 Maxima P/S since 25k miles ago... No issues. I drain'n'fill everytime I do my tranny every 15k or once a year, whatever comes first :)
