Well I have 260,000 miles on my VQ 3.5 Nissan...

I have run the following oils in her all 5w30...

Castrol gold bottle 5w30
Pennzoil Ultra
Havoline Pro DS
Havoline DS
Peak high mileage
Mobil Super
Mobil Super Synthetic
Pennzoil Gold
Quaker State Ultimate Durability
Quaker State high mileage
Pennzoil Platinum high mileage
Castrol magnatec
Castrol high mileage
Castrol Ultraclean
Valvoline Advanced full synthetic
Valvoline White bottle
Valvoline Maxlife full synthetic
Royal Purple API approved oil

So that's 18 different oils in the last 221k miles since I got the car...

I have a slight valve cover seep now that the high mileage oil has been helping with a lot.
The quietest oils I have run in the car has been Mobil Super, Havoline Pro DS, Pennzoil Ultra, Peak high mileage, Quaker State HM, and Castrol Magnetec.

I like quiet running motors.

One of our members on here had a really good UOA with Pennzoil Platinum 5w30... That oil was still in grade even after 11k miles. Very impressive. Given how these VQ motors shear oil quite a bit... I ran Pennzoil Ultra the longest at 6800 miles.

You see what I run in my G37. Before that I ran Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 and before that ordinary Pennzoil 5w-30. There are plenty of good oil and filter choices out there, and bbhero gave a nice list of real world examples.
