Any Nissan Juke owners on here? What are your thoughts?

I was following the long term test on Edmunds Inside Line, watched some review videos on YouTube, and researched fuel economy (on fuelly etc).

I really like the Mini Countryman but it is considerably higher comparably equipped. And also maintenance wise I know you have to go to a dealer for everything.

I was looking at the SL AWD with the Midnight Package. Looks really nice.

Anyhow, what are your takes from being an owner? Is the normal maintenance (oil, CVT, etc) pretty easy to do?
What are your MPG?

It's a Nissan. If past experience tells you anything, they generally do not age as well as the Hondas or Toyotas of the same era. My buddy who has an auto repair operation just for G35s, seals up a ton of oil coolers, oil pans, compression rod bushings and power steering racks by 100k. Obviously the Juke isn't a G35, but from those experiences (and other Nissan models), my feeling is that they will not age as well.

That's a good thing to consider.... I'm thinking of looking for a new car next year. I just get bored after awhile. I really like Honda, as I've had an Element and a CR-V. But I just can't find something I would really want. I should just be satisfied and quit looking, but again I get bored.
Would love to have a truck but I can't justify buying one. I like to have the higher driving height, AWD, and ground clearance. Any other good suggestions?

Used RDX, 1st gen.

Very popular in the UK. But a lot are the diesel version so not applicable to the US models.

They have been around for nearly 2/3 yrs now and no stories in the trade regarding any issues.

Most of the mechanicals are used in the Nissan Note/Micra or Renault Clio/Modus.

The interior trim of my Pathfinder seems better than Nissans from 6/7 years ago. Apart from interior door handles!

The wife wants a Juke but I would prefer the Renault version coming out this year as the styling is more restrained.

All the car magazines gave the Juke good reviews in the UK, it handles more like. Hot hatch than a miniature soft roader.

I was thinking the same thing. They are not attractive at all...actually makes an Aztec look nice.

Mazda CX5

Not only is a Mazda CX5 a good car, soon you might be able to get a diesel CX5!

This. By far the ugliest car on the road.

my Dad's 03 Sentra is falling apart. The passenger bucket seat handle is screwed up and won't keep sliding back. the visor flap won't stay up. the key hole fell out of the plastic door handle on the passenger side door. He had two headgaskets repairs. A leaking radiator. He's complaining of a whining sound when he drives now. He has 130k miles on it.

It's widely criticized for its styling, but in the end it's your car and you have to like it. If you drive one and enjoy it, then buy it!

For the record, I rather like the wacky styling. Looks good in person.

I didn't like the look of them till I actually seen it in person at an auto show. I am going to take real good look at it again in Febuary when I go to the Cleveland auto show again. I like the Soul, if only it had AWD.
I also like the Mazda CX-5. I forgot to mention it. I will be checking it out as well.

I don't see them being in the same class. A base Juke starts at $20k. A base Soul starts at $14k. One is an economy car and one is a mid-level priced crossover. The Juke also has a more powerful engine.

Yes - '09 Honda CR-V EX 4WD with only 44k miles. That thing would be just what you're looking for and will run many trouble free miles.

You could buy yourself something or go somewhere with the money you'll save over buying, financing, insuring, registering, a newer car.
