While filling my gas cans with Diesel ? A Nissan GTR came to buy gas I was impressed on how good it looked , The photos I have seen do not do the looks justice. I must humbly say it is a good looker and I saw the first Mid engine Vette I must digest the looks . I really liked the looks of previous generation. But what really made my day was 2 babes were getting gas and I noticed one has some kind plastic pistol doing an open carry. I was happy witnessing liberty and freedom while getting Diesel.

My parents taught me to pay cash for toys . But with that cash sitting in my checking account other that paying for the final semester of college for my Niece, I am looking for an investment opportunity instead of wasting the $$$ on a car that I will tire of in a few years. Assets not liabilities are where to put money. Until the amount of your toy purchases will seem inconsequential. I have a friend that his twin engine Cessna, the cost is not noticed to him compared to his assets and income flow.

Didn't the '07 start at $70k or thereabouts?

Heckuva jump for a 14 year old model. $140k for +120hp?
Not sure but seems pricing isn't much of a concern anymore. Seems people want what they want and will pay for it. Look at new pick-up trucks. Just 18yrs ago, who would have thought you would be paying $60K+

I mean I guess... I just don't see $210k for a 14 year old car with basic improvements.

"A fool and his money" and all that. $200k buys some serious metal - with the added bonus of never having to darken a Nissan dealer's door.

They still lay down some pretty impressive figures though, punching a bit above their weight. I think their price reflects that, you’re looking at $100k or more easily to get the same performance elsewhere. It’s not as flamboyant as the rest of the exotics, at this point almost sort of kind of blends in... and that’s not a bad thing.

So the 14 year old car is only $45k more expensive than it was when it was introduced.

Makes sense.
Everybody gets it - you don't like 'em. While I'll never be able to buy one, they certainly sell. According to Nissan's website, there's a total of (15) available at dealers ... across the entire US (including a $160k track edition model!).

Definitely agree as back when I could actually hear it was definitely something awesome to hear. Unlike anything else I've heard on the streets.

rooflessVW might not care for Nissan, but the same can easily be said (by me) for ANYTHING VW, lmao.

My cousin in the UK did a "track day" type event and as I recall, they used the Top Gear location in England. People were able to drive a variety of cars. Let me find his quote.... He drove a Ferrari, Aston Martin, Audi, Lambo, GT-R, and maybe some others. It was a "Supercar" event so forgive me for not spec'ing the actual models. I asked him about the GT-R and his comment was

it felt very powerful and a great noise

i was riding with my buddy in his 03 cobra when a grey GTR pulled up to the light and wanted to race. we knew the car was fast because it was on the cover of one of the need for speed games but he still took the bait.

i never saw something launch so hard and so fast, the thing pulled football field after football field and the tailights disappeared off into the night. if you had one nobody was touching you, zero driver mods required

10 years later when everybody and their mom has a 10 second car it’s not all that impressive but they were no joke when new.
