It's pretty crazy how he had to escape the country in a box! Going from having a private jet (which apparently he shouldn't have had) to leaving the country in box. That's a pretty big fall!
I wonder how much Ghosn had to do with Nissan's sharp decline in quality? Renaults were never known for being good and once Renault took the large share in Nissan, quality dropped a ton on their products. And turning Nissan into more of a finance company than a car company ... it seems to be turning around now, but you used to be able to walk into a Nissan dealer and lease one for $200 a month with nothing down.
We were just at a Nissan dealer and they are actually requiring pretty significant money down now.
