Anyone know what the Nissan E-PFS fluid is? Part # 999MP-25500P for the electric power steering.

I want to think it is similar to what Chrysler and others use in the electric power steering, but can't find any references.

I wrote to Pentosin, and they told me to use Anti Freeze. After I questioned him twice, he said sorry, that is not right, and they don't have a product.

(Please don't tell me to go to the dealer. I'm trying to figure out what I can supply them.)

Sorry, the number I posted was what the Pentosin guy gave me.
This is the right stuff.

I don't want the real stuff. I want to know what it is, what the viscosity and VI are, etc.

Yes, it is electric-hydraulic. A little hydraulic pump comes on when you turn and sensors look at how much you turn the wheel, your speed, etc. and determines how much to push the piston in the cylinder.

E-pump motors can burn out if thick fluid is used, especially if cold. And, current load on alternator can be excessive.
Probably a good full synth with improved cold weather flow for less pump strain. You can VOA it for more info.

Toyota used a similar EH fluid. CHF202 and 11s were cheaper than the dealer sourced EH fluid and worked perfectly.

With Nissan's PS history, I'd doubt that its anything special other than keeping a cold epump happy with a good flowing fluid.
Nissan EPSF:
visc @ 40C = 22 cSt; @ 100C = 6.88 cSt (high high VI fluid)

Redline D6, Torco LoVis, and Amsoil ATL are 28-31 cSt @ 40C... (too thick).

Pentosin CHF202/11s are 18-20 cSt at 40c

Thanks. I couldn't find those viscosities. For Jeep and other brands I have one that has
40C=18.8 cSt
100C=6.0 cSt
for a VI of 313
