Nissan Alzheimer???

I worked at a Buick-GMC dealership when I was a kid in high school. An older gentleman, who was a Subaru salesman across the street, would often unknowingly butcher vehicle names and we thought it was hilarious! He referred to the Nissan Rogue as a "Ragu".
I work with some guys, one who owns one, who calls the Nissan Rogue the "Rouge," and not to be funny.

I thought it was the Hombre?
No that was the Isuzu pickup truck. "The Chevrolet S-10 is a compact pickup truck produced by Chevrolet. It was the first domestically-built compact pickup of the big three American automakers. "When it was first introduced as a "quarter-ton pickup" in 1981 for the 1982 model year, the GMC version was known as the S-15 and later renamed the GMC Sonoma. A high-performance version of the latter was released in 1991, called "Syclone". The pickup was also sold by Isuzu as the Hombre from 1996 through 2000, but only in North America. "

A 83 year old guy I know, who drives a 30 year old car and knows nothing about newer cars, told me his grandson just bought a Nissan Alzheimer.

I responded that the Nissan Alzheimer is popular with oldsters who get lost going to and getting back home from their drives.

( he "misremembered" the car model. It was a Nissan Altima. )

I’ve found the car

Bomb ba deer! or Bombardier, they both make a fine sled.

I prefer the French pronunciation - bom-bar-dee-ay.

But I guess they haven't made anything like that in a while. The remaining Bombardier R-12 snowcats at Yellowstone were retired in 2016. They managed to keep them running for over 50 years. I thought they sold off that business about 20 years ago.

I learned how to pronounce it when the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District selected them for the "Fleet of the Future". But in the meantime Bombardier Transportation was sold off to Alstom. Or was it because of Bombardier's rail cars?

A neighbor of mine calls his Seltos, a Saltee.
Not sure why, and not going to ask, because I'm not sure if I want to know 😂

Either the Buick GNX or Grand National were actually faster than a Corvette from the same era (shocking I know). There have been many a rebadged job between GM and other companies.

I think it was the GNX. The husband of a coworker bought a Corvette and I told her to tell him that someone at work had a GNX and would like to meet up with him to compare cars. I didn't have one, and she knew that, but I told her I wanted to know his reaction. He asked if I was talking straight-line run or a course somewhere and I said straight-line. He said "pass."
