The story (which might even be true) originated in the USA where at last count they still called them an F-150.That's funny as the F-150 in Mexico is branded the Ford Lobo (Wolf).

I work with some guys, one who owns one, who calls the Nissan Rogue the "Rouge," and not to be funny.I worked at a Buick-GMC dealership when I was a kid in high school. An older gentleman, who was a Subaru salesman across the street, would often unknowingly butcher vehicle names and we thought it was hilarious! He referred to the Nissan Rogue as a "Ragu".
No that was the Isuzu pickup truck. "The Chevrolet S-10 is a compact pickup truck produced by Chevrolet. It was the first domestically-built compact pickup of the big three American automakers. "When it was first introduced as a "quarter-ton pickup" in 1981 for the 1982 model year, the GMC version was known as the S-15 and later renamed the GMC Sonoma. A high-performance version of the latter was released in 1991, called "Syclone". The pickup was also sold by Isuzu as the Hombre from 1996 through 2000, but only in North America. "I thought it was the Hombre?
I still call the dinky Mirage an "Itsy Bitsy Mitsu-bitsy"!My wife's cousin often talked about the famous Mitsu Bitsu brand.
A 83 year old guy I know, who drives a 30 year old car and knows nothing about newer cars, told me his grandson just bought a Nissan Alzheimer.
I responded that the Nissan Alzheimer is popular with oldsters who get lost going to and getting back home from their drives.
( he "misremembered" the car model. It was a Nissan Altima. )
Bomb ba deer! or Bombardier, they both make a fine sled.
My dad always mispronounced that other big GM brand as "Chevellay".Dad used to have trouble pronouncing "Pontiac Parisienne"...he'd call it the "Pontiac Parisoner."
Either the Buick GNX or Grand National were actually faster than a Corvette from the same era (shocking I know). There have been many a rebadged job between GM and other companies. No that was the Isuzu pickup truck. "The Chevrolet S-10 is a compact pickup truck produced by Chevrolet. I think it was the GNX. The husband of a coworker bought a Corvette and I told her to tell him that someone at work had a GNX and would like to meet up with him to compare cars. I didn't have one, and she knew that, but I told her I wanted to know his reaction. He asked if I was talking straight-line run or a course somewhere and I said straight-line. He said "pass."Either the Buick GNX or Grand National were actually faster than a Corvette from the same era (shocking I know). There have been many a rebadged job between GM and other companies.
