Just a few thoughts....
- Maybe stow a cot at work and stay there if it's too bad to drive.
- Think about costs, maybe the wages earned for the day don't outweigh possible damage (lived in Yellowknife for a number of years, I've seen -55C, sometimes it just wasn't worth trying to start the truck).
- People these days are used to safety nets (911) what if they didn't answer...... be aware that if you call a crew out to rescue you...you've now put them at risk.
