As said here, Iridium IX last approximately 40-50k, half of the 80-100k for Laser Iridium.

Thetypical found Iridium IX does not come with platinum chip on ground electrode, that is whyit does not last as long as the laser platinum/iridium. The one who get eroded fast is not the thin center electrode, but it is the ground electrode without platinum chip, especially on the waste spark ignition system.

However in Asia market, NGK also make iridium IX with platinum chip, the plug number end with -P, e.g. BKR5EIX-P. This should last as long as the Iriway/Laser series or Denso Iridium Tough/TT.
