NGK FX101 (55004) Spark Plug Wires 2009 Forester

NGK's parts finder and most parts sites say only fit up to model year 2008. Took a chance since no known changes to the ignition layout from 2008 to 2009 and '10.

They are not carbon core, NGK uses a unique conductor, seen here:

NGK says 1/2 the resistance of OEM carbon core wires and equivalent or better RF suppression. Whatever the case, they fit my 2009 perfectly, look great, and seem to have smoothed out a slight roughness at idle.

Thanks for sharing the info. I have an '09 Forester and I'm still using the original spark plug wires. I'll keep this in mind when it's time for me to replace them.

The good and bad news with COP(Coil on plug) is no wires but when the coil fails it's a more costly and a slight pain to fish out.

Kinda wish I bought that 5 speed 2009 I saw just because it was fully loaded.
