Garmin is pretty reputable but I haven't really heard alot about garmin cams.

Anybody have experience with it? Nexar cams seem pretty promising but I'm alittle suspicious about the quality seeing the price.

I have one of those $100 cams that mount on the rear view mirror. It's good quality with good features but unreliable. Almost got into a wreck today and it recorded the whole drive except the 30 seconds where I almost took on a Chevy HHR when they crossed double yellow.

I have a Garmin 65W, the "W" means extra wide angle. I wouldn't get the extra wide angle again because you have so much prospective distortion in the recorded video. You can nearly have a fender bender and the video will look like there was 20' between you and the vehicle.

Viofo and Street guardian are probably the 2 best out there right now. Garmin uses a battery instead of a super capacitor and that can be an issue in high heat .

My garmin lasted less than 2 years and I think the failure was heat related. When it worked it made nice videos.
