new used car what oil?

i just bought a 2000 metro, 1.3 auto with 43k on it. should i stay with the 5w30 dino oil and the 3000 mile oil changes that the previous owner did, or will i be ok going to mob 1 5w30 and 6000 mile oil changes that i normaly do on my other cars?

If you're happy with your Mobil 1 system, stick to it.

I've never had a car as new as that and have been happy with switching to syn with 80,000 or so miles.
