Thanks! Any further recon missions will be appreciated! Please, if this new stuff is found, include photos and serial numbers, if possible. Thanks again.quote:

Great? Would it be too much trouble to post one of the serial numbers on the bottom of the bottle? I'm just trying to piece together this puzzle. Thanks!quote:

I meant "Great!" not "Great?". It's late.quote:

Different markings than the 05 vintage
No longer says "Out performs all leading motor oils"
New qt bottle:
M06044xxxxxxxx
On the front yellow banner says "European Formula"
A few statements changed on the back...Not much
Still says "Made in Germany"
Still has BP symbol
But changed company name on the back of the bottle from:
(05 vintage) Castrol North America Inc.
Wayne, NJ
to
(06 vintage) BP Lubricants USA Inc.
Wayne, NJ
Yes, thank you. It would be a shame if GC is no more.quote:

I received a call (message)from an AZ in Punta Gorda Fl. today, (it is Sunday) I have never seen 0w30 there in either GC or old AC ( but to be truthfull I have never really looked except in the past 5 months or so). I had left them a message that if they got any new 0w30 in that was not made in Germany to give me a call. The message was they now have some on the shelf. I will try to get by there tomorrow, if it is in fact the new stuff, (that is a new batch, not made in Germany) I will invest in a bottle and try to make pictures of front, back and bottom. I have never posted pictures on the internet before but will make the effort.

I saw some M0601 today at my local Walmart. It still says made in Germany on it too.quote:

Thanks for your efforts. You're right; I do not think that 007 is referring to the really old "pre-GC" stuff from 5 years ago. Please keep the recon reports coming in. So far, 007 is the only one who has seen this new stuff.quote:

I made my run to Watsonville yesterday and picked up some M-06044 and a few without date codes.
They also had a full rack of M-02156 pre-GC american made stuff priced a bit lower than $5.49 that I paid for the Gold. I showed one of the sales guys what was up with the old stuff, how old it was etc and he said they would remove it, yeah, right.
I hope this helps some. John
