Ouch! I'd never pay $12 for one of these! I got mine at Kmart for $6 or so. Their regular price is $10, which I wouldn't pay, either.
I tried to unravel the media, but it was impossible. First, it must be glued on a LOT more tightly than usual, and the wire backing only adds to the difficulty.

I got 3 of them (PSL20195) for $3.99 each at a Kmart that was closing
I would love a link to efficiency info. On the box it says 99% @ 25 microns. What about at 20, 15, 10 microns?

They are normally $12 but pep boys has a 35% off sale with free shipping. Not too bad for a filter you change twice a year
