I went today to get my fall rustproofing on both vehicles. A local mechanic does the work at his house. He uses NH Coatings.

Anyway they have now mixed in a small amount of peppermint oil into the rustproofing spray.

Time will tell if it keeps the critters away.

Interesting. Mint seems to repel bugs as well, nice that humans like it but animals seem to not like it.

That will be interesting to see if it works. Just this week some critters got into our CRV and left a mess on the cabin filter. Luckily, the cabin filter was not chewed through and it was an easy cleanup.

Interesting. Might give it a try on my next truck. Rust got my current one.

The NH Coatings on my truck is only a few days old but smells like a rustproofing spray. Not peppermint. Maybe once the spray dries a little it will smell like peppermint.

All they really need to do to the Subaru to keep mice out is to spray it with Ford smell. They do not come in my truck at all. That I can see.
