Now that DI thing was a fun fact I did not stumble upon when reading up on 2013+ Pathfinders. Apparently the VQ35DD is used in the Pathfinder and Murano only at this point and started in 2017.
I guess what I thought was a DI high pressure pump in the engine bay, indeed was. I understand the principle on DI and issues it's caused, just not how the system works yet. I assume there's still a standard fuel pump/sending unit in the tank that feeds the pump driven by the engine?
