New Fuel Pump brand for Nissan Frontier - no Bosch available - what now?

I feel like I need to change the fuel pump in my 2011 Frontier. It has a very mild - like 2 second - long start which goes away if I turn the key on for a second before I try starting. I changed mine in my Xterra which is the same pump. It had a similar problem and the new pump solved it.

On the Xterra I went Bosch, which was the OEM pump for that vehicle - the new one was identical to the old one right down to the 3 colors of sharpie on the top of the pump - I assume some sort of process check in the factory. However I can't seem to find a Bosch anymore - Bosch BOSCH 69907 was the number.

Any thoughts on these? I presume the Delphi would be the best choice given these options?

Or could go to AAP and get a Denso - 20% off with online order as well?

Can you not replace only the pump?
OEM used to sell just the pump (less the sending unit) but not interested in paying OEM mark up even if they exist anymore. The sending unit is a part that fails occasionally as well so may as well replace.

The rest is pretty integrated - I don't think it would come apart very easily and the whole assembly is not that expensive.

Did you buy that Bosch fuel pump from Partsgeek? It's out of stock now :sneaky:

There is one from Home Depot

I'm not convinced Delphi is anything more than Chinese junk these days. I would not lean that direction
Which is funny - many Delphi AIO modules are made in Mexico. The bare fuel pumps are made in China. All the parts store ones are Chinesium as well. First Brands owns Carter now, and many parts houses saw Carter in a slightly better light than a Airtex/Master. FWIW, a friend has a Carter pump in an Explorer for almost 15 years. No problems.

Japanese OE is Denso/Aisan, Keihin or Hitachi(Hitachi Astemo now, who also owns Keihin now, and formerly known as Unisia Jecs/JECS) depending on make. It’s same to assume Denso for Toyota, Keihin for Honda and Hitachi for Nissan and Subaru.

The check valve in the pump has failed, allowing gas to drain back to the tank while parked. The pump part is still OK. This is not something that will get worse or leave you broken down. You do have the option to do nothing.

How do you know it's the fuel pump?
Already change the fuel filter?
Is the 12v battery good, could it getting weak?
The fuel pump going bad does seem plausible to likely, specifically it sounds like a bad check valve. Check valve going bad is automatically a fuel pump replacement.
Is the fuel system holding pressure 30 minutes to an hour after you turn it off?

My O'Reilly delivery guy opened his door the other day and had several Precision fuel pumps in the truck. I felt a literal shudder come over me. I can't believe shops install that stuff but I guess options are limited for same-day availability

Go with Denso. Delphi is just as bad as most of the other options lol.
Do you see Precision failures or complaints?

Also I just realized FirstCall has a link to provide "Feedback" on a given part. Any idea if that's actually read by a human anywhere?
