An older gentelman buys a new corvette, and is out on the highway enjoying himself at 120mph when he sees the lights of a state trooper pulling up in the rear view. Knowing he is caught he pulls over.
The trooper comes to his window and says "I think you know how fast you were going, but if you come up with a great excuse I have not heard before maybe I can let you go with a warning".
The Corvette owner says "well a few years ago my wife left me to shack up with a trooper, and when I saw you I thought you might be him trying to give her back".
He left with his warning.
