New Carquest EP Oil Filters

I wonder if the "hydrogenated" gasket means it has some soybean oil on it? as in pre lubricated....I am no expert in fat chemistry but I hear partially hydrogenated oil is healthier...

With a similar micron rating as the Carquest Premium - do you run the same EP 20K mile filter for two or three 5K mile OCI’s ? That’s the only way this EP oil filter makes sense to use . If you don’t use this EP filter for at least two OCI’s it doesn’t make sense to use it - you would be better off just staying with the Carquest Premium .

If I was already using the premium, even with equal efficiency, I would definitely upgrade for 100% synthetic meshed backed media. The additional cost per year is trivial.
