OK, I am redoing the air coming off my 5HP two stage 60 gal compressor from 1/4" to 1/2". My plan is to use 1/2" IR filters, regualtor, lubricator with outlets at 1/4" for unlubed air, and then after the air lube to have have several fittings for 1/2" fittings. and 1/4" fittings. The only tool (that I currently own) that really nned the big air is the 3/4" impact wrench and for it I can provide a straight 1/2" lubed air line.

Ideas?

I made this to do the job you are talking about.
A simple manifold setup, top is just air and bottom is oil/air.

Is that a drain valve you have on the lower left? Why have 2 filters and regulators? Why not tap air (unlubed) before the lubricator and after it (lubed)?

I have since added a permanent large can filter to the top (air only) one,it runs 40lb at the equipment constant.
i didn't want to change regulator settings every time i used the tools, i also use automotive fittings for oil/air on the tools and industrial for air only equipment so i don't contaminate my paint gun hose with oil.

Nothing wrong with what you suggest but my air only use is usually constant lower pressure applications.

That is a second drain i open after turning it off at the tank, the other drain goes down lower near the compressor.

I have since added a rapid air system for the air and oil/air so i have outlets for both over at my bench and in the garage.
