It was past time to “refurbish” the rose bed in front of our house. Two rose bushes had died and the other 5 were not looking too healthy. Instead of replanting two new roses we decided to go to a local nursery and pick up a few more colorful and diverse options.
My wife loves hydrangeas so we picked up one of those. A few hosta’s, caladiums, echinacea and some other plants later we have a new flower bed.
Finishing that project only left me with an itch for more so we picked up a planter box yesterday and planted a small herb garden that my wife has wanted for years.
To top it off we planted a curcuma plant (which I believe is turmeric) today.
All in all we are happy with these additions and will enjoy watching them grow (hopefully).
There is nothing quite like a well manicured yard with some beautiful plants! Never thought I would enjoy it as I have. Must get it from my mother.
