Capital Tires are knock off Falkens. The Negotiator is one model of Capital Tires.

Don't know that I'd name a tire "Negotiator". Wouldn't you want the "Hostage Taker" instead?

You can get better tires for equal or better prices if you shop around.

they were on my volvo when i bought it. besides being the worst tires i have ever driven on, they last a long time. so far they have about 20,000 miles on it which is a record for me for tire mileage.

ATD now selling Capitol, Negotiator lines

American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) is now selling the Capitol and Negotiator private brands, which were formerly owned by AM-PAC Tire Distributors.

ATD acquired AM-PAC in December 2008.

ATD is positioning Negotiator as a "fourth tier, opening price point" product, according to company officials. "We see Capitol as being a value line. Our intent is to fill it out to be a complete passenger and light truck offering, which may include other products, like trailer tires."

Capitol and Negotiator round out ATD's private brand line-up, which also includes Dynatrac, a commercial truck tire product.

Was reading that list and they really branded a tire "Achilles"? Seriously???

Your 2 letter DOT code will tell you the plant where the tire was made.

This is interesting...

I've been e-mailing Del Nat (National) about tires today. Many of their car tires are made by Cooper..the National Finalist (a tire I was looking at), is made in China.

If I had to go private, American, GT Radial, or Nexen would be my choices....
