I'm about to finish the second rinse phase of ARX on both cars. And the temp over here ranges from single digit (winter) up to about 110 deg on the summer
First car: 1991 Nissan pathfinder 3.0 V6 w/ 140k miles doesn't burn any oil and no towing in this truck ( it does consume oil on M1 5w30 But not on AMSoil 5w30 and chevron 5w30). driven mostly short trips ( 12k miles annualy) The manual recomends 5w30year round, (10w 30,10w40) above 0 deg and (20w40,20w50)are usable above 50 deg.
2nd car: 92 Subaru Legacy non turbo 2.2L 4 cylinde mostly driven on short trips (12k miles annually) doesn't burn any oil either. manual recomends 5w30 below 30 deg, (10w30,10w40 above 30 deg) and everything up to 20w50 is usable in high temp.
What I have in mind is Mobil 1 5w30 or 10w 30 or Chevron delo 400 10w30. I can get both of these oils for cheap. or whatever suggestions you guys might have, Thanks for any help.
