Here's my dilemna: I have a kiosk that was previously meant for displaying a looping video at an auto show. We want to re-use the kiosk in a similar manner, only in an engineering lab. We need to leave the video on and let it loop, but we certainly don't want to hear it constantly (especially since it's RIGHT next to MY desk), so we need a convenient way to adjust the volume. It will normally be turned all the way down, but should be easily turned up when someone is interested in hearing the dialogue. Currently the only way of adjusting the volume is to remove a panel on the bottom side of the kiosk, stoop down and turn the master volume knob on the subwoofer. This is obviously not acceptable.

Inside the kiosk is a DVD player feeding a composite video + left and right audio through RCA cables to this little box. The box passes the video to an LCD monitor and the audio goes to a typical computer-type subwoofer with two satellite speakers. We'd like to make a volume knob easily accessible with minimal or no modifications to the cabinet. Some sort of remote volume control would be ideal, but I'm not sure where to start. If anyone has any ideas, I'd certainly like to hear them. I know we have a bunch of audiophiles on this board.
