Need Amsoil Guru's input

I have been running Amsoil for over 25 years with no problems so I am sold on Amsoil. What I need is the following input.

For my new C6 Corvette, the manual calls for Dexron III that meets the new H-specification. For the diff. It wants a 75W-90 "Synthetic" meeting GM spec 9986115 with 4 ounces of the GM limited slip fluid, which I am going to add.

In all my searching, it would appear that Amsoil Severe Gear 75w-90 is the ticket.
I am a little more uncertain on the ATF. H-spec is not mentioned on the amsoil website.

Can the Amsoil gurus give me some more insight or suggestions? Please?

Amsoil's Universal ATF surpasses the H-spec according to an article they had, which I can't find at the moment. The 75w-90 Severe Gear is excellent, and quite inexpensive as well. Supposedly, the 75w-90 Severe Gear already includes the necessary additives for most limited-slip apps, so you're only suppose to add the limited-slip product if you experience chatter; IIRC, Don once mentioned that the limited slip additive plus the Severe Gear 75w-90 product may make it too "slippery" for some differentials, so keep that in mind.

I personally wouldn't use Amsoil Universal ATF for the Manual Transmission, even though it meets the Dexron III-H requirement. Manual Transmissions that specify ATF are better off using an ATF that meets GL-4 requirements, for better wear protection. Molakule makes a product called "MTFGlide," which is specially designed for manual transmissions that require ATF. Redline's D4 ATF also meets Dexron III-H and carries a GL-4 rating as well, and Royal Purple's Synchromax is similar to Molakule's product.

Thanks for your reply Michael Wan. Made me realize my post was not specific enough. I have the 4 speed automatic in this car, not the manual. Thanks you though for your response.

Good question.
Amsoil does call for "AF6" and indeed the ATF does not specify which revision (H) on the web page - but as MW points out - the data is not on the web page. It's in one of my Amsoil mags (somewhere), but let me get you a hard answer tomorrow.

If you have an AT, then I'd just use Amsoil Universal ATF. When you change the fluid and filter by removing a pan, you'll remove 5 out of the total 11 quarts, which is why I suggest using this procedure for doing a complete fluid/filter change, as it is more efficient than doing 3 drain and refills. Here are more specific directions on how to change the fluid/filter on a 4L60E transmission, which I believe is quite similar to yours:

EDIT: Pabs, AT6 refers to the new Dexron VI ATF. However, NewC6's 'vette is obviously a 2005, which recommends Dexron III-H. The 2006 models and up recommend Dexron VI.

Amsoil had an article posted on the OFFICIAL Amsoil website in regards to how their ATF far surpassed the Dexron III-H specification, but I can't find the link. However, here is a copy of the article posted on an independent dealer's website, and it appears to be identical to the version that was originally posted on the official Amsoil website:

Indeed I assumed 2006.

For a 2005 Amsoil ATF is recommended. It meets rev "H" of Dex III.

Even thought the link that MW gave does not specifically mention H-Spedification, is does make reference to the "New" Dexron requirements. Reading a little into the article, I think I can safely assume that Amsoil ATF will satisfy the need.

Again, thank you both for the help. Sometimes doing a search does not give quite what I need, the two of you did that.
