Need Advice on Tire Size

There is no need to go 205 in area where you live. I go 205 in winter and 225 in the summer.
Wear them out if they are good tires.

NICE CADDY ! Especially for $ 400 bucks ???? The " alleged" blow-by will show up in the intake hoses / valve body/ air filter/ intake manifold. Make sure they are oil free. As for the hood paint, I would just send it out to a body shop an have it re-shot ( unless you're really good at painting and have all the equipment). That shouldn't be expensive. They'll take the hood off the car and shoot it on benches. Less labor involved... The rest of the paint looks GREAT ! Lucky score !! Do what you want with the tires. I would do what Kira says, since there is really nothing more to do on the car ( visual inspection on my end ). Service the tranny. May take a few spills & fills to get fluid clean...,,and coolant change. I think changing the rims is a bit much, leave them alone....( unless you have money to burn on this Caddy) I mean, it does have 184k on the ODO. Don't go nutzo sinkin $$$$ into it............BEST OF LUCK !!!!!! CONGRATS !!!!

Seriously: If it's 'blowin' by' a lot, the cats are going to die soon as it has 184k already.
Do a compression check. >>Fill 'er up and take a long distance drive.
Do this several times and do hand calculated mpg numbers.
Get an estimate on the hood paint job and possibly drivers seat reupholstering.
If the AC works, reconsider selling it now.

I may look into a shop doing this. I'll have to see how much they want. Even some spray paint would look better on the hood than it does now. These 3.6L are just known to eat oil. Which is why the chains fail so often because no one bothers checking the level. I think they mistook oil in the intake for blowby. Or they used it as an excuse because they didn't want the labor intensive timing chain job. One shop didn't even want to quote me and the second didn't want to either at first but changed their mind to the tune of about $5k. So I learned to do it myself over the course of about 3 weekends.

The relationship between tire width and traction, even on dry pavement, is complex and depends on a lot of factors.
Wider tires can improve lateral traction and power delivery, up to a point. But it’s an optimization problem. They also increase drag and decrease load per square inch.

Oh jeez, forgot about the Cats.... There on borrowed time without blow by, but they may be cheap. NY has California emissions which doubles/triples the cost of a cat. They literally steal them out of parked cars with a saw zall.. No joke. A guy in The Bronx will weld a piece of heavy duty chain link around the cat so they can't cut thru it or re-use it...!!!!!! Don't know Georgia's emission specs. Again, I'm leaning toward Kira's answer for this car in her latest post......... Fix it up, take the $$$$, and RUN LIKE HEL-L !!!!!! It's in beautiful shape, you should get some good coin for it.
