Matt Kenseth 17

Jeff Burton 21

..and I can't stand...

My favorite driver in NASCAR is Matt Kenseth.
My favorite driver in NASCAR that is semi-retired is Bill Elliot.
The best driver I have ever seen in any motorsport competition is Michael Schumacher. He has more wins in F-1(89) and podium's(150)than all other present driver's combined. He really is worth the millions Ferrari is paying him. I just hope that if he wins the title this year, he retires on top.

After having grown up (and I use the phrase loosely) in North Carolina, I realize this is blasphemy, but I can think of very few things that bore me more than watching a bunch of cars racing around an oval track.

My favorite driver is the 8. Mostly because he is the only southerner that ever wins anymore.

I don't put Michael Schumacher at such a lofty status as a driver. IMO the driver does very little in F1. Seems like it is "car vs. track" and the driver is less important than the engineers. I find F1 as boring as soccer because F1 does not feature the one thing I like in a race.......RACING! I think to be a good race driver you need to pass someone more than three times a season.

Cousin Carl Edwards

I also like Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, and Jeff Gordon

Sprintcar racing is booming. Real racecars driven by racers not racecar drivers a big difference. JP Montoya is a racer and he recently opined "they don't want racers in F1 anymore" hence his move to NASCAR.

Would have been so interesting to see the great late Ayrton Senna in NASCAR, he surely would have set it on fire, till this day, he remains my favorite driver as does Walter Rohrl for rallying.

Ralleys, now that's racing! I met Walter Röhrl actually. He is from my area, and he is my quattro hero!

I met the late Ayrton Senna briefly in Canada during the GP, he was totally unassuming, very humble infact, my Brazilian friend introduced us and we shook hands, was one of the greatest moments of my life.
