Have some in my Cobalt now. It seems like a good oil so far. No consumption anyway. It's a pretty good oil if you buy it while on sale for 3.49 or so. I intend to run the oil life monitor down to about 10-15% or about 7500-8000 miles on this oil.

Do they have a 0w20 on sale? Otherwise its off du Wall-of-fabrique-en-ChineMart @ 23 Bones pour 47dL juggler. Isupporthose that 26 & 99/100 not a bad price at all for Canada

Yes, its a very good price for a dexos1 oil, full synthetic, not semi like the dealer offers at 54.99 + tax, oh wait..... 74.99$ with 50+ points inspection.....

Napa synthetic is good stuff! It's rebranded Synpower

Cool that they have 5L jugs up there. Down here it's only sold in quart bottles, but I actually prefer the quarts for easier pouring and if you use less than 5 quarts the remainder is in a smaller bottle rather than having half a quart in a big jug.

Indeed...

For reference, a liter of M1 5w30 ESP is now $ 16.00 at Canadian Tire... ONE liter. A 4.4 liter jug of regular M1 is $ 53.00 these, of course, are " regular" prices, which no one should ever pay...

CanadianTire Formula 1 synthetic is on sale for $ 22.00 per 5 liter... rumoured to be a SOPUS PRODUCT...!?

And PYB 5w30 4.73 liter (5 quarts...?) is on sale at, ughhhh, WALMART, for $14.00. I HATE WALMART...

My buddy just used Napa Synthetic in his 08 Impala w 80k miles - he went 8k miles on the run - added 1 qt top off - the 3.5L V6 only has a 4 quart sump. No issues, it looked fine coming out. It's certainly worth the $3.49.

Good oil. Buy it on sale and they combine oil and filter sales fairly often at NAPA. Use it with confidence.

That's a fine deal. They also have QSUD on for $3 more, but there's no reason to walk past the NAPA stuff. After all, one is more likely to find it on sale there than anything else and its regular price is a little easier to swallow than most other Canadian regular prices on oil.

Haven't used it yet but I've researched it quite a bit after seeing it on sale. The general consensus seems to be that it's pretty good oil made by Valvoline. I wouldn't have a problem with buying it for my vehicles.

Its made by Valvoline, but is different than Synpower IIRC. A lot like an MC or Mopar filter is made by Purolator, but isnt a rebranded classic. Good stuff nonetheless when purchased on sale.

Ashland = Valvoline.
