Having a hard time with this one. Is the Mobil 1 filter worth the premium paid for it compared to NAPA Gold? Assuming that i buy the NAPA in bulk from fleetfilter and the Mobil from AA for it current price of 7.88?

Not to me. It may be worthwhile to you or someone else, but I have not been sold on the benefit of the premim priced filters when you can get a premium quality filter for less.

Higher burst. Higher collapse. More efficient media. So if you have a performance engine, you may want the Mobil 1 filter. If this is the daily driver family car..the NAPA Gold is more than fine.

To me yes....i've used both and like both,, but something about the M1 just "feels right" to me, plus at $7.88 right now it's a deal. $.02

I bought a few of the M1 filters on sale...but there's no way I'd choose one over a WIX/NG ..even if you went retail vs. retail. The normal premium isn't worth it for me ..let alone if you can get a semi-high volume number from Bryan&Co for little more then a MC at WM.
