Napa Dexron/Mercon ATF

Does anyone know where Napa sources the ATF they sell? I went to their web-site and the price was only a $1.19/quart. I'm thinking if Napa is sourcing from one of the good known refiners, their price is about what you'd find the name brands when they're on sale. And I don't see ATFs on sale too often at all.

For that price I doubt that it is group II. I wouldn't buy ATF that is less than Group II at any price.

I might be mistaken, but I thought most NAPA stuff was Valvoline. Doesn't Valvoline refine a lot of private label product?

I would think that it (like the oils) would be made by the PZ/QS owned Specialty Petroleum blending plant in Shreveport. Johnny, is this correct?

Of course SuperTech is a brand name rather than a manufacturer so any product could, in theory, be farmed out to any manufacturer.

I think Johnny, in an earlier post, said that SuperTech oil although manufacturerd by PZ/QS used an Exxon? base oil. This is because of lack of refinery capacity.

Check the MSDS link on the Napa web site, it tells who the manufacturer is...Valvoline. Could someone interpret the data and determine what group the basestock is?
