Name this flower

I probably shouldn't admit this but I have a 4 year degree in horticulture and I don't know what this plant is. I know I have seen them before but I just can't think of the name. Does anyone recognize it?

I should add, my emphasis is in turfgrass, not landscape flowers so that is my alibi!

Hoolyhock it is. An old flower that was around in great grandma's day!

I have some pink hollyhocks open as we speak.

Hollyhock was my first guess but I did a Google search and the pedals look different on all the pictures shown. These have pedals more like carnations than the Hollyhocks Google shows. I don't know, though, three BITOGers can't be wrong!

Try a Google search for double hollyhock. I believe that's what you have.....
